This Grotto is a hand
built, half cave structure made from random pieces of bluestone
mortared together. It stands at approximately 5 feet high, about
7- 8 feet wide, and 3 feet deep. The waterfall is at a height of
about 4.5 feet, and has an approximate flow of 5000 litres/hour
coming over the ledge, fed by a Resun King 6F Pump, with a
pumping capacity of 8500 litres/hour (max), and a max. Head of
5.5 metres. The waterfall feeds three man made ponds and a man
made stream 3 metres long, which connects the pond chain
together. These ponds support a variety of life, including fish,
frogs, plants and the local bird life from the nearby trees. The
photos show some water plants still in their pots. We do not
recommend keeping the plants in pots, rather planting them
directly into the pebble at the bottom of the pond. These were
placed by the customer, ready to plant into the pebble.
