Our Name

     

Devic Realms (pronounced Deee-Vic) is a very spiritual, magical place.

Devic Realms is a spiritual name. We believe that the plants, soil, water, air, animals, and the Earth each have a soul, or spirit that resides within each. These nature spirits are also known as Gnomes, elves, faeries, etc. Gnomes live in the plants, and help them to grow, and Faeries live in the flowers. Each species of plant has an overseeing Deva, which is an energy or spirit that looks after the growth and form of the plant. These Deva's give guidance to the nature spirits, instructing them on how to grow the plants. The Deva can be likened to a supervisor at a work site; they give the instructions, and the workers do the work.

Because we are aware that each plant has Gnomes and Faeries living in it, we treat them with lots of respect, and are in constant communication with them. We employ special healing techniques when planting them, and watering them in so that they can establish themselves in their new environment much quicker and easier.

So, basically when we create a garden, we give a home to little nature spirits and Deva's; a Realm in which they can live happily and freely. And as these Realms belong to the Deva’s of nature, we call them Devic Realms.

And yes, we are aware that to most of you reading this, we sound a little nuts, and that's ok. We wont judge you for that and appreciate the same in return.
