Devic Realms (pronounced Deee - Vic) was established in 2003 predominantly as a landscaping business, designing and creating gardens for people on the South Coast. When we started out we knew we would have a battle ahead of us in attempting to re-educate the community in what real garden creation was all about. It was obvious that landscaping became a buzz word, taken to mean paving, retaining walls, and structure, rather than the creation of a natural environment that would benefit both the environment and the home owner. This saddened us deeply as we learned that we could not compete with irresponsible advice on TV programs, and many competing businesses with no gardening knowledge, and offering simple Flax plantings as gardens in place of proper understanding of soil profiles in which to make worthwhile plant selections. People seemed far too willing to listen to some TV programs' irresponsible garbage, because "they wouldn't be on TV if they didn't know what they were doing." Unfortunately, a lot of this advice is not correct, but our efforts to teach the right way to do things fell on deaf ears.

As a result, we have decided to change the direction of Devic Realms to cater for the people that are interested in helping the planet by creating beautiful, sustainable, natural gardens in their very own backyards. We offer a comprehensive consultation service for those people who would love to have a perfect, self sustaining garden, would love to create it themselves but might need some ideas, or perhaps advice on which materials to use, plant selection, types of mulch, fertilisers, layouts, etc. We have earned a great deal of experience in the landscaping industry, and would love to share this knowledge with like minded members of the community. Our consultations can cover every aspect of garden creation, including irrigation design and scheduling, plant selection advice, correct mulches and fertilisers to use, garden bed layouts to create the best design for your yard, garden lighting design, pond and water feature design and placement, and much more.

We have still maintained all of the information on our website as before for your information and we will continue to update information as required. The main change is moving from a contracting role to a consulting role. Please feel free to read the information we have on our site and get ideas for your gardening project.

Be the envy of your friends and neighbours with complete garden design and advice from Devic Realms. Add interest and excitement for many years to come. Add adventure for the kids to enjoy. Create your own little piece of paradise today.
